How Can We Help You?
Home care is available for every stage of life from newborns to care of the dying. It can be provided following hospitalization or chosen as an alternative to an inpatient hospital stay. Many treatments traditionally done in the hospital setting may now be completed at home where the patient is the most comfortable and recovers most effectively.

The care we provide is divided into two main categories:
- Skilled Care
- Private Duty Care
Skilled Care
Skilled Care is anything covered by insurance and ordered by a doctor. Most seniors are covered 100% under Medicare, however many other insurances also pay for home care. This includes services such as post-hospitalization care, teaching and assistance for patients who wish to remain at home for treatment instead of hospitalization. Care can be provided to help manage most medical conditions or following a recent surgery. Treatments may also be performed in the home and could include: IV therapy, injections and wound care.
Private Duty Care
Private Duty Care is paid for "out-of-pocket" by individuals who request companionship or personal care. No order from a doctor is necessary. The current rate for a home health aide is $18.00/hour. Some long-term insurance policies now cover this type of care. Private duty care may include:
- Personal care (grooming, bathing)
- Assistance with activities such as ambulation, transfer, exercises
- Light meal preparation
- Changing and washing sheets, towels, personal items
- Companionship
- Light housekeeping
- Running errands to local businesses
- Services provided by a nurse such as drawing blood, assistance with medication and other medical treatments.
